Te Kuru Dewes

Te Kuru Dewes (Ngāti Porou, Te Arawa) is a native speaker of Te Reo Māori, a cultural consultant and performer, a writer, director and an aspiring actor. He played 'Bung-Eye' in the award-winning bilingual audio-drama series The River, for which he also voiced the opening and closing segments. Te Kuru has spent the last 7 years in front of the camera as a television journalist and has voiced over 1000 stories. He recently completed an acting course under the tutelage of veteran Tainui Tukiwaho. Te Kuru enjoys making music, surfing and working on creative projects.
