Tom Knowles is a descendant of Rongowhakaata Iwi. He is a graduate of Toi Whakaari: The New Zealand Drama school and isa performer, writer and producer. Tom has toured extensively in theatres around New Zealand, North and South America and the UK. Tom's TV credits include The Brokenwood Mysteries; The Māori Sidesteps; and he starred in the Export beer advert which featured the award-winning song, I'm drinking it for you. Tom recently performed with the Modern Māori Quartet and regularly plays in multiple bands around New Zealand. Tom has travelled to London to intern on several West End musicals including We will Rock You and performed in Covent Garden with a 40 piece orchestra. Tom has played with and alongside many bands including Tahuna Breaks, The Dudes, Marty Casey, Open Souls, Dane Rumble, Elemeno P, Sola Rosa, The Checks and was part of the promotion band for Kiss, Alice Cooper, Ozzy Osbourne, Poison and Whitesnake.
