Mya-lee is based in Auckland but grew up in Hamilton in a very musical family. She would always sing at every opportunity. Dance is also something she loves and did all throughout school, with training in the style of hip-hop. Mya-lee is a proud descendant of the tribes Tainui, Ngāti Toa Rangatira and Ngāti Koata. She hopes through the pursuit of an acting career she is able to bring authentic representation of her culture and heritage to the screen and back to society.
