Astra has been acting since she was in nappies and already knew this was her passion and what she wanted to do as she became older. From being in a Cannes Film Festival short by Niki Caro 'Sure To Rise' (1994) to working on numerous South Pacific Pictures series over the past decade. She has played characters alongside actors such as Sam Neil (Ice) and Temuera Morrison (This is Piki) and had extensive training since her teens. Taking a break from working life to raise her daughter, who seems now to be following in her footsteps. Astra has recently been signed up to Kathryn Rawlings, is back in Auckland and ready to get back to doing what she loves most.
