Alison is a professional actor, director & writer with over 30 years experience. She began training at Theatre Corporate Actors School in 1978. After training under tutors including Raymond Hawthorne, John Givens, Paul Gittens, Linda Cartwright & Elizabeth McRae, she spent three years working at the Court theatre with Elric Hooper. In 1986 Alison became Artistic Director at Centrepoint Theatre in Palmerston North, which she ran until 2004 when she became part of the Core Cast on Shortland Street. During her career Alison has acted in an /or directed over 130 plays, 11 of which she has written. Alison is a regular featured cast member on TV3's JONO & BEN and FUNNY GIRLS. She has also had guest roles on WESTSIDE and the international cult hit ASH VS. EVIL DEAD as well as appearing on the NZ tele-features MONSTER OF MANGATITI and HOW TO MURDER YOUR WIFE.
