    BACKGROUND
    Mayen Mehta is a South African born New Zealander and a graduate of The Actors Program. He has experience including stand-up comedy, writing, directing, voice-over work and acting for stage and screen. His theatre credits include My Heart Goes Thadak Thadak, Tea, Orientation, and A Fine Balance. His screen credits include Shortland Street, Fresh Eggs, The Bad Seed, Friday Night Bites and Stand Up (Nominated Best Actor at the 48 Hours Film Festival 2017) and Cabbie (Ignite Award Winner at the Vancouver International Film Festival). Mayen has also written for Short & Sweet Theatre Festival and Tales of Nai Nai. Mayen is a Raw Comedy Quest Grand Finalist 2017 and won the Fresh As Flick Comedy competition in 2016. He is a self-motivated, persistent, and reliable actor, with an adaptable range of character work.
