John has worked as an actor on screen and in theatre, both in the UK , where he studied at the EADA Academy of Dramatic Art in London and New Zealand. John has several big screen credits including Peter Jackson's The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, The Warriors Way and 30 Days of Night. He also has had guest roles on the television shows Shortland Street, Westside, Spartacus and Legend of the Seeker.
