Maza is an Iranian Kiwi actress and a prolific award-winning writer and director. Her latest film ‘Maryam’ (about an Iranian Kiwi immigrant mother facing a horrific crime committed against her daughter), which she wrote and starred in, is currently being submitted across international film festivals. She is also preparing to direct her other film ‘Daughter of God’ which has been funded by the NZ Film Commission. Maza is also starring in a comedy webseries that she co-wrote and created called Perfect People. Being a well-traveled and multilingual mother of two, Maza has developed a deep passion for understanding human psychology, which effectively feeds into her acting and writing processes.
